forwarding and freight provided full payment of the consignment is received in advance by

HOW TO SUBSCRIBE?

Starting a new subscription in three steps

1. Write to Us

In order to subscribe to any journal just drop us a letter or postcard stating the
journal/journals you require along with your name and complete postal address with pin
code. The details for subscription will be mailed to you along with a subscription invoice.

2. Payment

Payment may be made to us via cheque, postal order, bank draft or money order drawn
in favour of ‘‘M/s. Eastern Book Company, Lucknow.’’. In case of outstation cheques
please add Rs. 25.00 as bank charges.

You can also pay us via V.P.P. But to save V.P.P. charges we recommend that you send
your subscription by cheque, postal order, bank draft or money order.
Full payment along with order for back volume or volumes and digest or digests entitles
you to free packing and postage or freight.

3. Delivery

On receipt of your subscription amount we will mail you all the published issues from
January till the date of receipt of your subscription.
Full address, clearly written along with pin code prevents wrong delivery of parts. It will be
better if you give your home address instead of your chamber address.

We strongly recommend that you get your parts by Registered Post to ensure their safe
delivery. Supply by book-post is at the subscriber’s risk.

Renewal of Subscription

To renew your subscription please remit renewal subscriptions directly to us. No

bookseller or agent is authorised to receive or collect renewal subscriptions and hence
the publishers will not be responsible in case of delay or non-receipt of such renewal
subscription.
Please remit renewal subscriptions before December 15 for the next year. If not received
and also if no cancellation letter is received then we shall presume that you wish to
continue your subscription and prefer to pay via V.P.P.
If renewal subscription is received after January 1 of the subscription year, an additional
amount of Rs. 20.00 will be charged towards loss of postage on every V.P.P. not
accepted.

Where parts are to be sent by book-post, supply of replacement copy will be subject to
availability of loose parts.
Once you have been allotted a subscription number (given on the address label along
with your address) please quote this in all your future correspondence. This ensures
prompt replies from us.

Other Conditions

The subscription year is January to December and you may subscribe at any time of the
year.
The subscription rates are based on current prices of paper and other inputs, but in case
further increases in the cost of paper, postage or other inputs make it necessary, a
supplementary bill will be issued.
Your expenditure in EBC journals is deductible under income tax law.
