Math Craft Helpful Hints

Choose 2-3 differentiation options for your class. Sometimes I assign the sheet I
want them to do, and sometimes I let them choose and encourage them to
choose something that is a “challenge” for them.

If students are having trouble fitting all 12 circles on their craft, allow them to
leave 1-2 off.

Steps that work for me ☺ :

1. Answer the math problems.
Teacher or friend checks over answers before step 2.
2. Go over answers with a black marker or sharpie.
3. Color each circle BEFORE cutting them out.
4. Get craft pieces and put it together.
5. Cut out circles. (We do this after prepping the craft so they are less likely to lose pieces.)
6. Lay circles on craft and decide on your design.
7. Glue the circles to the craft.

**The following pages include direction cards that you can laminate and display for
your students. I suggest applying magnets and sticking them on your dry erase
board. There are 2 options: one with and one without numbers.
1 Solve the equations and 2 Color the circles.
check your answers.

3 Cut out the pieces and 4 Cut out your circles and
prepare your math craft. glue them to your craft.
