APPLICATIONS

Designed for electrical installations in classified areas:

As Ex d IIB + H2 T, for locations like:
- Petroleum refineries, chemical and petrochemical
plants, gas, siderurgical, oil mills, etc. -
- Paint shops and/or where solvents are being
handled, pharmaceutical plants, etc.

As Ex DIP A 21 T, with dust presence, for locations like:

- Cells or sheds for collection of cereals where exists
atmospheres of combustible dusts in suspension -
- Atmospheres where dusts, corrossion or humidity
cause problems to a conventional lamp.

To house mercury vapour, sodium vapour and metal -

halide vapour lamps. Also incandescent and low
consumption lamps.

To be pendant mounting, against the wall or ceiling (according to model), directly from the
piping system, by shunt or splice boxes and entering to the connection through cable
glands.

FEATURES
Manufacture:
Standard: ballast housing, helmet, ring and guard in aluminium alloy. Borosilicate glass with
rectify seat (platinized), insulating support for lamp holder. Aluminium reflector. Porcelain
lamp holder (without lamp). Flexible normalized cables and bushing sealed in the equip- -
ment holder chamber.
With built-in equipment: starter equipment, composed by ballast, ignitor (if correspond) and
capacitor to obtain a high power factor, located at the top of the device (equipment
holder chamber). See Codes and Dimensions.
-On request: with O`ring, IP 6X protection (for zone 21).

Finish:
Standard: orange synthetic enamel paint.
-On request: polyester powder coating paint

Thread Type: Top entry (see Codes and Dimensions)

- 3/4" NPT.
Note:
Ballast housing: with 2 threaded entries of 3/8" RW for iron support (EXAI KSOB).

Available Spares :
XVG 2: Borosilicate glass globe for EXAI 2.
