melodrama . Spaniards introduced melodrama
that is accompanied by songs and dances in the
Philippines . The rondalla which consist of
stringed instruments such as guitar , laud ,
octavina , piccolo and bajo de unas , served as
the accompaniment of the sarswela .

Lasilao Bonus , considered as the "Father of
the Philippine Opera" It is the First Filipino
opera dubbed in Tagalog language and
