PLACE

This trip will be for the tourist site Uyuni salt flat, and is located south of the
department of Potosí- Bolivia
GROUP OF PEOPLE
This package is for young people, especially for university students, because is not
recommended for people suffering hypertension, heart failure, asthma or similar, for
whom visiting places above 4000 meters of altitude may present a risk for their health,
and not allowed for pregnant women.
That is why only young university students were allowed, also they can do field
research
DAYS
The trip is by four days and four nights but the first night and the last day is only to
travel because it´s so far away
So, the trip begins at night 1 at 9:00 pm in La Paz terminal of bus and the trip end of
day 4 at 7:00 am in La Paz City
ITINERARY
Day 1: We will meet at the bus terminal in the city of La Paz at 9:00 pm to leave for
Uyuni Potosi, we will arrive at 8:00 am and have breakfast and We will gather at
Uyuni's downtown to take our 4x4 vehicle for 6 people, in which we will make all the
tour during the three days.
We will pass by the train cemetery and the town of Colchani , where we will be able to
buy craftwork. After that, once we are on the salt flat, we will visit the Salt Museum,
and we will travel to the Incahuasi Island, Here we will be able to walk by a track, see
the gigant cactus and have a privileged view of the salt flat from the top of the hill. We
will end the day seeing the sunset inside the salt flat, so then we can go to the salt
hostel in San Juan del Rosario, where we will have dinner and rest for the next day.
Day 2: We will leave by the morning San Juan del Rosario and keep going by the road
that goes through the Chiguana Salt Flat. We will visit the Cañapa, Hedionda, Honda
and Chiarkota lagoons, before entering the Siloli Desert. Here we will watch the Stone
Tree, a volcanic rock that, as you can figure out from the name, it has the shape of a
tree. We will end the day in the Colorada Lagoon, nesting center of more than 30,000
flamingos. We will spend the night in the Refugio Huayllajara.
On this day we will have lunch and dinner together with the community
Day 3: We will leave early in the morning to see the sunrise in the Sol de Mañana
Geysers, sources of water that rise at a 90°C (degree centigrade) temperature, and
where we will have the chance of taking pictures. Also, we will visit the Polques Hot
Springs, where we will bathe according to the tour time, also we will visit the Salvador
Dalí Desert, and the Verde Lagoon and Blanca Lagoon, located in the foothills of the
Licancabur Volcano. After that, we will begin our direct return to Uyuni, where we will
end the tour.
We will arrive in Uyuni at 6 pm, we will have dinner and then we will take the bus to
return to La Paz. We will arrive at 7 am the next day.

 All meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) The meals are varied, and includes tea, coffee,
bread, cookies and fruit for breakfast, and meat, pasta, rice, soup and vegetables for
lunch and dinner. In case you need a vegetarian menu, you must ask for writing it.
 Basic accommodation:
o 1st night at Hostal de Sal San Juan de Rosario, in double, triple or quadruple
room (according to availability), with shared bathroom (showers with hot
water).
o 2nd night at Refugio Huayllajara, in shared room of maximum 6 people, with
shared bathroom (without showers).

Not included

 Sleeping bag.
 Entrances to parks (186 bolivianos per person). That is:
o Entrance to Eduardo Avaroa Andean Fauna National Reserve (150 bolivianos
per person).
o Entrance to Polques Hot Springs (6 bolivianos per person).
o Entrance to Incahuasi Island (30 bolivianos per person).
 Access to toilets on the way (approximately 6 bolivianos each acces).
 Health insurance.

 How much money should I bring to the tour? We recommend to bring 200
bolivianos per person for expenses not included in the tour, as entrances to parks
(186 bolivianos per person), access to toilets and buying of souvenirs.

• Price per person is 500 bs that includes everything except park tickets, group of
6 will be handled
