This is a tentative marking scheme, as you may know, marks will be awarded based on actual drawing and

marks will be deducted for each and every mistake in the drawing.

Using AutoCAD key check length and angles ( up to 4 decimal precision ) very carefully. As transfer
points will be considered wrong even if 0.00001 AutoCAD unit variation is encountered

Q1
1. If drawn wrong Quadrant: -10
2. No development: -20
3. First 4 figures 20 Marks
4. Hidden edges missing -2 Marks each
5. If the length conversion to development (Marked in yellow) is wrong -3 for each
6. Wrong opening point -5 marks, etc

Q2
1. If no Side view -15 marks
2. -10 wrong quadrant
3.Wrong side view -5 ( LSV instead of RSV)
4. The wrong orientation of the pyramid -5.
5.Incorrect section plane and removed portion -5 to -10
6. Sectional view 10 marks other 3 views 5 each
7. Wrong cutting plane or wrong solid position -5 to -20 as per the level of mistake, etc.

Q3

1.Wrong angle measurement: if not correct up to 4 decimals (as given in key)

then rotation method is wrong then -20 marks
2. 5 marks each for 4 views. If views are missing marks will be deducted

Additionally, if the drawing is not matching with the solution no marks will be awarded. Wrong orientation,
missing lines, No labelling, too many construction lines, change in inclination angle( say 30 instead of 20
degrees) , wrong colour use, Incorrectly oriented views, etc will lead loss of marks as per the level of
mistake.
