1. Write a 100-word paragraph, that explains why you enrolled at UC?

“Education towards global competitiveness”

Knowing its motto, I presume this school can help me become a successful and an effective
engineer in the near future. Moreover, my beliefs got stronger when I heard the Civil
Engineering topnotcher 2019 was from the University of Cebu. I suppose that universities and
professors take a big part of the success of students not just their hard work and dedication,
that’s why I chose this school. Aside from its educational system, I believe this university will
allow me to connect with diverse people and prepare me for the purpose of life in the real world.

2. What are the most important provisions in the SAO-OCDS?

The most important provisions in the SAO-OCDS are:

 Students enrolled in the University’s online course/s should be advised that in an

effort to maintain the integrity and to ensure responsible use, files and
communications through LMS are monitored and recorded.
 Students shall use their registered Learning Management System (LMS) account:
Google Classroom for communication with distance education courses, instructors
and peers.

When the pandemic started, we needed to adopt the new normal which is the use of the
online classroom. Good thing there is a system from SAO-OCDS which is the Learning
Management System (LMS) account where we can access different kinds of applications such
as Moodle Application and Google Classroom. The Learning Management System (LMS) is one
of the most important services of SAO-OCDS. It allows us to communicate distance education
courses instructors and peers. Students can take exams, send their homework and everything
related to their courses. Students will be trained to be responsible submitting their course
requirements.
