News Radio 1120 KMOX to be New “Voice of the Billikens” in St. Louis
ST. LOUIS (Nov. 17, 2020) – The Saint Louis University Department of Athletics and its exclusive
multimedia rightsholder, Learfield IMG College’s Billikens Sports Properties, announced today a
new multi-year agreement with Entercom. The new broadcast partnership calls for News Radio
1120 KMOX (KMOX-AM) in St. Louis to be the new radio home for SLU Billikens men’s and
women’s basketball games.
Beginning with the 2020-21 athletic season, News Radio 1120 KMOX and RADIO.COM will
air live all SLU Billikens men’s basketball games and the weekly “Travis Ford Coaches Show.”
Additionally, News Radio 1120 KMOX and RADIO.COM will air a select number of women’s
basketball marquee matchup games during the season. News Radio 1120 KMOX is a heritage,
50,000-watt clear signal station in the USA, assuring massive reach. RADIO.COM is the fastest
growing digital audio platform in the United States.
"KMOX is a legendary voice in our community, and we are thrilled to engage in this
partnership that will directly benefit our men's and women's basketball programs," SLU Director of
Athletics Chris May said. "There is a deep connection to the Billikens and KMOX with the likes of
Jack Buck, Harry Caray, Joe Garagiola and Bob Costas calling SLU games. I am confident that the
new 'Voice of the Billikens' will provide first-class coverage for our fans and sponsors alike."
“We’re happy that NewsRadio 1120 KMOX will serve as our new radio home for Billiken
men’s and women’s basketball in St. Louis,” said Billikens Sports Properties General Manager Kyle
Ingram. “The enhanced radio audience and promotional opportunities for SLU with our new
Entercom partnership are exciting for both fans and advertisers.”
According to Becky Domyan, Senior Vice President and Market Manager, Entercom St.
Louis, this marks a new chapter in the company’s SLU history books. “We are thrilled to once
again partner KMOX with St. Louis University to serve as the flagship of Billikens Basketball. We
look forward to finding new ways to expand the SLU relationship across the Entercom St. Louis
footprint to serve and grow the fan base.”
In the event a Saint Louis Billikens men’s basketball game day broadcast conflicts with the
MLB’s St. Louis Cardinals or NFL’s Kansas City Chiefs, the Billikens will air live on Entercom sister
station 97.1 FM Talk (KFTK-FM), a 100,000-watt station in St. Louis. All broadcasts also will air
live on RADIO.COM.
Listeners can tune in to News Radio 1120 KMOX (KMOX-AM) in St. Louis on air, as well as
nationwide on the RADIO.COM app and website. Fans can also connect with the station on social
