Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry, Sharda University, invites application from the

Indian Citizens for one temporary position of Junior Research Fellow to work on ISRO
(Govt. of India) sponsored project entitled “Epoxy-based Inorganic-Organic Hybrid
Polymers and their Evaluation as Adhesives and Matrix Resins for Composites for Space
Applications” under the guidance of Prof. S. Packirisamy and Dr. Sonia Khanna.

Fellowship : Rs. 31,000/- p.m. plus admissible HRA.


Project duration: 1 year
Essential Qualification: M. Sc. Chemistry (General/Polymer/Inorganic/Physical/
Organic/Analytical Chemistry) with CSIR/UGC NET
(JRF/Lecturership), GATE or equivalent;
M. Tech (Materials Science/Nano Technology) with Chemistry
background or M. Tech (Chemical Technology/Polymer Science
& Technology) may also apply.

Desirable: Research experience in the field of Polymer Chemistry.

Age : Below 28 years [relaxable in case of SC/ST/OBC (Non-creamy layer)/Persons

General Terms and Conditions:
1. The position is temporary and for a maximum period of one year and is not
renewable.
2. Eligible and interested candidates may apply on or before 20th August, 2020 by
email to Prof. S. Packirisamy [Email id: s.packirisamy@sharda.ac.in], quoting
position on the subject line, with complete bio-data containing passport size
photo, e-mail ID and phone no., date of birth and details of qualification, i.e.,
examination passed, year, division, percentage of marks from Higher Secondary
onwards along with scanned copies of the qualifying degree certificate and
mark sheets, GATE score/UGC-CSIR NET (JRF/Lecturership) award letter and
SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer) certificate, if applicable.
3. Only shortlisted candidates will be communicated to appear in the
interview/online interview and no other communications in this regard will be
entertained.
4. Original documents of age proof/certificates/degrees/mark sheets, CSIR/UGC-
NET or GATE eligibility certificate (for candidates with M. Sc. qualification),
SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer) certificate, if applicable, and other testimonials
are to be to be produced for verification and one set of self-attested photocopies
of these documents are to be submitted at the time of interview.
5. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
