○ Make sure animal is healthy
● Bloodwork for anesthesia
● Spay and Neuter: Age (4-6 months)
○ Spay: in heat

Hip Dysplasia Replacement
- Hip dysplasia is when the hip
socket doesn’t fully cover the ball
portion of the upper thigh.
- For a total hip replacement the
socket and ball are both replaced
with metal implants
- Kept for about 2-3 days post
surgery
- Full recovery is expected in about
12 weeks barring no
complications
