An adventure as a couple

This trip was in 2018 in the month of September, which was planned with my husband after

several trips that were made within the country, we felt the need to know places outside the

country, new cultures, different foods and the best of all was that the return had no date.

Since our plans were to meet up and if we liked it, we would stay the necessary time to

enjoy those wonderful places without worry and we had the expectation of new adventures

to live, new people to meet along the way, which happened wonderfully.

This adventure started in Bogota since on the day of departure we said goodbye to friends

and family, we packed what was necessary for the trip and with our savings we left happily

one night on September 28, the next stop was in Paris, there we ate delicious food, The

famous pizza and others, that day we put our bags and asking questions we arrived at the

Eiffel tower, that day I understood the importance of English in my life as a traveler since

we defended ourselves with the little English that I understood, all the stay in Paris we

spoke English For any concern or relationship with others, on the second day we met a very

nice couple of travelers and we became friends, we shared and laughed a lot, they spoke 5

languages which captivated me and motivated me to understand other languages to be able

to access other cultures already It is better than knowing other countries to speak their

languages to avoid setbacks and enjoy more.

The next day we continued with our trip to Madrid Spain, there a cousin was waiting for us

to arrive at his house and begin with the tour of the best places in this city, we went to the

royal palace, Almudena Cathedral, Retiro Park, Stadium Real Madrid and many more

places we went every day.

We arrived in that city in winter, which was another experience in the snow, we took

advantage of this time to go to the hill and there we played with the snow we shared with

friends, Christmas was also different because in that country they do not celebrate

Christmas the same, it is less enthusiastic they celebrate more the 6th of kings and

obviously we celebrate it there with their traditions and their parades.

The days we spent in those places were wonderful, we even found temporary jobs there,

and with the passage of time we got to know the surrounding towns and their cultures, one

of the towns that most caught our attention was Segovia for its majestic streets and its

historic aqueduct as a world reference, there we walked its streets and listened to its

ancestral stories, and so we felt on the other side of history, which was fantastic since in

Europe they talk about the conquest or discovery of America as a heroic feat. While our

reality was another, this took us to the other side of history since previous months we were

on a historical tour of Cartagena in the walled city listening to how our brave men defended

the territory from an invasion, from the excesses that our women lived in foreign hands that

was our experience from both sides of history a relevant and unique event

That trip brought us wonderful experiences, in which we learned about other traditions and

cultures, traveling to other places opened our minds to new possibilities and experiences,

these places remained in our hearts but this trip ended after a long 3-month vacation where

our home called us back to continue with our lives and our loved ones.
