How do this pandemic affect the studies of collegio de amore’s college students

CHAPTER 1

Intoduction
Quarantine has changed the lives of almost every person. A lot of families lost
their jobs and, therefore, stable income. Some people were left alone in a foreign city or
country, unable to return home. People whose lives are connected with movement,
sports, and communication have practically lost the meaning of life.

Another problem is that the coronavirus is directly affecting the education system.
As we know, in schools and universities, all deadlines are set a year in advance.
Because of the coronavirus pandemic, students cannot sort out their subjects.
Universities have changed the dates of tests and exams, and all studies have been
transferred online.

Students are a social category that has been hit hard by the coronavirus
pandemic. Now they are in limbo because they can neither study nor work. Although the
coronavirus is affecting all students, it has impacted more those who are getting a
bachelor’s degree. However, both authorities and university leadership facilitate student
learning. This includes the ability to study online, change exam dates, and provide
student counseling. We decided to interview a few students and ask them how the
coronavirus is affecting their lives. In this article, we have posted real stories and notes
from the life of people under quarantine.

Statement of the study

Generally, this study aimed to determine how pandemic affect the studies of
collegio de amore’s college students.
Specifically, this also aimed to answer the following questions

1. Is flexible learning effective for students during this pandemic?

2. How do students provide to the need of internet connection during flexible

learning?
 3. What challenges do students of collegio de amore are facing this academic
year and during this new normal?

Significance of the study

The study on the problem encountered by the students would be beneficial to the
following:

Students – the results of this study will enable them to improve the skills and
strategies with regards to the subject.
Faculty members -
Professor – the result of this study help them to make adjustment to be an
effective professors during flexible learning
Parents-
Present researcher – the result of the study help them to apply the knowledge
they have learn.

Time and Place of the study

The study will be conducted in collegio de amore from September 2020 up to
now.

Scope and limitation of the study

The participants of the study where the students of collegio de amore in indang
-trece road, Luciano, trece martires city cavite.

Definition of Terms
Flexible learning- Is a principle of practice in formal education, concerned with
increasing flexibility in the requirements, time and location of study, teaching,
assessment and certification.
Internet- Is a vast network that connects computers all over the world. Through
the internet, people can share information and communicate from anywhere with an
internet connection.
 Pandemic- A pandemic is a disease outbreak that spread across countries or
continents. It affects more people and takes more lives than an epidemic.
Students- A student is primarily a person enrolled in a school or other
educational institution and who is under learning with goals of acquiring knowledge,
developing professions and achieving easy employment at a particular field.
Quarantine – a quarantine is a restriction on the movement of people and goods
which is intended to prevent the spread of disease or
