any kind of business. Because it helps us to identify the current status of the project and
challenges present if any in the ongoing workflow. Based on that we can define future state
requirements and can shift to suitable workflow strategy to get maximum benefit from the
challenges.

Role of a BA in workflow analysis:

As a Business Analyst we need to understand what is the workflow
which is following in the client workstation. If you are not aware the right workflow first,
you may not conduct the analysis successfully. In a single organization different
departments will follow different processes to get things done  we don’t have any loyalty
towards any particular processes within the company and will, therefore, be able to take a
truly objective look at how the organization operates successfully.

Steps to follow in Workflow Analysis:

1) As a business analyst we have to start enquiring about the progress and process of
the particular project from the top level management. We have to address the
concerns point out by them to our Team Immediately.
2) In the same way we should interact with the Lower level management and employee
representatives to collect feedback and act accordingly.
3) Document every important detail along with efforts made by you for this task as
well.
4) Identify the stuck points in the work flow and try to get the exact reason for such
obstacles in the project by through analysis.
5) Make valid recommendations.

By considering all the reports and reality in ground we will be able to put
together a comprehensive plan to improve the efficiency and productivity of the organization.
The ultimate goal of a business analyst is to find ways to automate the various processes
within a company. But after working with lower level management, it is time to show the
recommendations to upper level managers, who will ultimately determine.

A workflow analysis can be a valuable asset to any company of any size. It will help you hone
in on any problems within your organization so that you can improve the way your company
operates and begin to generate even more profits by improving employee productivity,
