ADVISORY FOR ACCOUNTANCY STUDENTS

As per the directives of the University, please be informed of the following


guidelines:

1. Online midterms examinations for Accounting subjects were moved to April


20-22 to give more time for students to prepare. Please see attached
schedule.

2. Any other subjects not covered by the attached schedule will be arranged
with the class by the concerned faculty.

3. All examination types e.g. True or False, Multiple Choice - Theories or


Multiple Choice - Problems, and/or Essay will be taken online during the
identified dates EXCEPT for Long Problems which require submission of
lengthy solutions. Exam for the long problems will be facilitated once
classes resume hopefully by May-June 2020. Should the community
quarantine be extended beyond the assumed date, alternative exams may be
considered and conducted online.

4. While the online exam is on-going, any problem/s encountered should be


reported to the proctor of faculty concerned to resolve the issue. The faculty
managing the exam will guide you through it.

5. Any student who failed to take the online exams due to connection issues
and health-related concerns, will be given a temporary INC mark. This INC
mark will not appear in the TOR and will be replaced with a final grade after
completion of requirements when classes resume. Completion of the
temporary INC mark is free of charge.

6. Graduating students (BSMA 4 and BSA 5) will not be declared as graduates


until such time that they have completed and passed all course requirements.

7. Please notify your professor/s of the reason/s should you fail to take the
exam.

8. Grades will still be computed based on the grading system. But for this
semester (2nd sem, 2019-2020), FINAL GRADES will be reflected as
PASSED (for 75 above) or FAILED (for 74 below) grade.

9. Students who are eligible for academic scholarships, recognition, and


graduation with honors will still maintain their eligibility for as long as they
obtained a passing mark for all the enrolled subjects this semester.

10. Direct any issue or concern to the faculty-in-charge of the subject for easier
and faster resolution.
