The stop-motion animation will depict the 6th mass extinction by showing the Earth set against a dark space background. It will be made from plasticine for the Earth in a classroom setting, with black card for the background and yellow or white stars. Soft key lighting will be used, and 20-24 frames per second will be captured, with ambient space sounds and effects for the spinning Earth throughout the 30 second video conveying the message that climate change must be addressed to prevent making the Earth uninhabitable.

SET/LOCATION The location of the animation is to be set in
space, with a dark background to represent space, and the earth to be in the centre of the frame. The set is going to be made in the classroom.
MATERIALS The main model of the earth is going to be
out of plasticine, with the colours being used blue, green and brown for the earth. The background is going to be black card, then either yellow or white stars to fill the space behind the world. LIGHTING I’m going to use a key fill light facing towards the subject, and use soft lighting, if there are any shadows I will use a fill light. FPS I am planning to take either 20, or 24 frames for a second, either 600 or 720 photos overall for the 30 seconds. SONGS/SOUND EFFECTS I will overlay and ambient space sound throughout the video, as well as effects for the spinning of the earth, and a rising sound effect building up to the end of the video. SLOGAN/MESSAGE The main message in the video, is that we need to act on stopping climate change, before it’s too late, and it becomes uninhabitable for humans.
