CUTTING FILING AND PREPARATION OF LEVEL SURFACE

AIM:

To make a level surface by cutting & filing

MATEIALS REQUIRED:

M.S 50x50x6 flat.

TOOLS REQUIRED:

 Bench vice
 Hacksaw blade
 Tri square
 Steel rules
 Height gauge
 Dot punch
 Hammer
 Scribbles
 Files

PROCEDURE:

a. Each raw material is checked for its size.

b. The given pieces are fixed on a bench vice separately and all the edges are filed.
c. Chalk is applied uniformly on the surface of the work place
d. The work piece is marked as per given dimension as required with making gauze.
e. Now using a dot punch, dots are punched along the mark.
f. Using hacksaw blade all the unwanted portion is removed.
g. Curving edges are filed using a flat file.
h. Finally the finished product is checked to required class.

RESULT:

Thus the level surface is made by cutting and filing.
