The area shadowed by the satellite in which the information or data can be transmitted and received is called
footprint.

The information is transmitted in any media by following two methods -

a. Analog

b. Digital

a. Analog signals - An analog signal is a continuous waveform that changes smoothly over time. Sine wave is an
example of an analog signal. Analog signals are suitable for carrying data such as voice or sound, but are prone
to noise from other sources and attenuation over distances.
