Gratitude
Thanksgiving is the time to think about gratitude and give thanks to the good things
in our lives!
Both giving and receiving gratitude benefit physical and mental health by reducing
stress and other negative feelings.
Showing gratitude to others also helps strengthen relationships.
Discussion
Name one person or thing you're grateful for, whether it's small or big.
Try to think of something you don't usually show gratefulness for.
Goals and Scheduling Exercise
What are you doing right now that is hurting you and preventing you from becoming a better person?
◦ Alcohol, junk food, bad diet
◦ Too much media/explicit videos
◦ Not working out, not getting sunshine/nature, etc
What are you doing right now that is helping you? What good habits do you have right now?
◦ Starting point
If you set up your life like you were someone you cared about, and did the things that were good for you,
where would you be 3 to 5 years from now?
◦ Relationships – friendships, romantic, social connections and networking
◦ Career or education
If you did everything that was bad for you, and let you bad habits bring you down, where would you be 3 to
5 years from now?
◦ Addictions
◦ Too comfortable
Goals and scheduling
Write for each question for about 15-20 minutes.
Make what you realize into a plan – put it into action.
