Pamela D. Morte participated in a tree growing event at Notre Dame of Marbel University to celebrate its 74th anniversary. As a student at the university for 5 years, she is grateful for the school's initiative to raise awareness about issues like global warming, deforestation, and climate change. While this was a small event, Pamela believes that many small efforts can make a big impact over time in addressing environmental problems for future generations. She hopes the school continues holding similar events and that she can do her part ongoing to contribute to the sustainable development of the environment.

of Marbel University’s 74th Foundation Anniversary, we the NDMU Students, were encouraged to take part in the Tree Growing event of the School. Being a Marista for 5 years now, since Senior High School, I am truly grateful for the school having the initiative to conduct such event. Over the years, global warming, floodings, deforestation and even climate change have been a major concern. Thus, having such event I believe could really have a big impact in the world for the future generations. I am actually delighted that I was able to participate in the event and contribute to the society in this simple act. I hope that the school would conduct more events of the like because this is actually a very nice move. I believe that this micro effort of us todays, will have its marco effect in the future. As a marista, I ought that my effort towards contributing to our environment’s sustainable development, will not only be limited upto this event, but rather, I will continue to do my part, to save this beautiful home of us.
