Flyers Unit 2 Wearing and carrying

• Tell me one thing you are wearing today: I’m wearing a blue dress.
• Look at the picture. What’s this/these? Trainers, ring, scarf, shorts, sunglasses, helmet,
gloves.
• Are you wearing a ring (gloves etc) today?
• On the copybook. Complete the words. Write the missing letters.
• Can you spell the words?
• Can you read out the body parts? Point to your head, nose, neck, hands, elbow, finger, legs,
feet, knees.
• On the copybook: Where do you wear the helmet? On the head. Write head next to helmet.
• Some people wear …. when they ….. Let’s make a sentence. Ex Some people wear a ring
when they dress up.

• This is Dan. What’s he wearing? What’s on his T-shirt? What’s he carrying? A rucksack. How
many pockets of the rucksack can you see? 3. Dan’s going camping with his school this
weekend.
• And this is Sally. Which words in the box can we use to describe Sally? A uniform, an umbrella,
suitcase, a coat. Sally is staying with a friend after school today.
• People carry things on their back in this. Rucksack. Can you find another word for rucksack in
the box? Backpack. This is another word we use for this kind of bag. Americans don’t say
rucksack, they say backpack.
• What are the things we wear? Let’s write them on the copybook: You wear a belt, coat, helmet,
gloves, uniform, watch, trainers.
• What do you do with a backpack? You don’t wear it, you …. Carry it. Which of the other things
do you carry? Umbrella, suitcases, handbag. Let’s write them. You carry an umbrella…
• Now let’s read the sentences and complete with words from the box.
