“You hear that a teenager wants to kill himself or harm others. What
do you do?”

Scenario-1:
I know that teenager guy personally and he wants to kill himself.

Assumption:
He is in depression due to family or social conditions otherwise he’s been a good
guy.

Outcome:
I would sincerely try to convince him to go to a psychologist. Killing himself shows
the seriousness of depression and these conditions are to be left for the
professionals. Another thing that I can do is to always be available for him, to
listen to him and his miseries which would considerably help him get rid off the
burden on his mind. I would make sure that his parents know the whole situation.

Scenario-2:
I don’t know the guy and he wants to kill himself.
Assumption:
He is always been involved in hideous kind of activities and want to kill himself.

Outcome:
Even though he has never been involved in bad activities in the past but his want
to kill himself depicts that he has gone through some serious trauma which has
pushed him to the height that now he wants to kill himself. His parents must
know the whole situation and I would try to convince his parents to consult for
immediate assistance from some professional. Another thing I can do is that he is
not having bad friends.

Scenario-3:
I know the guy personally and he wants to harm others.

Assumption:
He has been a good guy and now because of his bad company or relation with
toxic people has lead him to where he is now.

Outcome:
Life can sometimes push you a little bit harder. In this case, the person has
become morally flawed and want to harm others to satisfy his conscious. So,
morally we should play our role as a guide and not as someone who would want
to punish that guy because in some cases punishment can also worsen the
medical state of the victim. We should stop him as soon as possible and take him
to certain medical doctor for a checkup. If he is trying to do it deliberately and not
unknowingly then he also deserves some punishment.

Scenario-4:
I don’t know the guy and he wants to harm others

Assumption:
He deliberately wants to harm others for the sake of fun.

Outcome:
In this condition, the subject should get punishment because he is trying to harm
others apparently risking the lives of others for his fun.
