Me before you

I have seen American-British romantic drama “me before you”. Made in 2016, it was directed by
Thea Sharrock and written by Jojo Moyes and stars Sam claflin, one of my favourite actors and
celebrity crush. However, it received mixed reviews from the critics and also I had already read the
book,so I wasn’t sure if I’d enjoy it. Despite my initial doubts, however, I have to say I was pleasantly
surprised.

The main character is Emilia clarcke (who you may know best from Game of Thrones) as Louisa (Lou)
Clark, a unique and very pretty girl with strange fashion sense, who, after losing her long time job at
the local cafe and going to an interview for a carers job, is hired on the spot. But she did not expect
to be looking after the extremely arrogant, yet handsome Will Traynor, played by Sam claflin(who
you may know from Hunger games) ,who after leading a very successful and outgoing life, has
become a quadriplegic, after not looking before attempting to cross the street. Both of them are
amazing actors and perfect complement to them.

The story is set in the very pretty English countryside, with all its wonderful features, including a
lovely little town, vast fields, which are perfect for a romantic picnic for two and even the fascinating
ruins of an old castle. Will has made the tough decision to die, by assisted suicide in six months time
and his poor mother is willing to do anything she can to make him change his mind, so she hires
"Lou" in the hopes that she will help her son to accept his new life and be happy again.

Will takes some time to open up to Lou, but it doesn't take too long.despite Lou being in a
relationship with her boyfriend, Patrick,Will and Lou begin to develop serious feelings for each other.
Love story is so romantic but ends tragically.

To sum up “me before you” isn’t just a cliched romantic drama. Instead it is so emotional, insightful
and thought provoking film, which has changed the way I look at life. And in spite of critics, I
thoroughly enjoyed the film. I have seen this film for four or five time and my feelings aren’t
changing. I would recommend anyone to see it.
