I visited Imtiaz Super market Located at Qayoomabad and Grocery shop near my house
Clifton Karachi. Figure 0-2 shows the display of Opler’s Milk at Imtiaz Super Market and
Figure 0-1 shows the local grocery shop.

How display looks like in each of the store

The display at Imtiaz Super market was attractive and organized. Each brand of milk there
was arranged according to the packet size, and brand. All the brand’s of same size packets
were set in the same rack. Customers can reach all the available sizes at his/her own
convenience.
On the other, at the local grocery shop, the display not so attractive. Although the available
milk brands were separated but were place in the same rack due to limited stock and limited
space available. When I entered the shop I was finding the Olper’s , because it was not
displayed at the first glance position. It was easily reachable to shopkeeper but not to the
customer.

What range in available

At Imtiaz super market all the sizes of the Olper’s were available ranging from 225 ml to 1.5
ltr for Olper’s liquid milk, Olper’s UTH milk, Olpers’s Cream.

The only available range was 250 ml Olper Liquid milk.

Stock depth
A lot of stock was available, as shown in the picture. As Imtiaz is super store and have a
inventory management system, and have strong relationship with distributor and
manufacturers so stock depth is easily manageable.
The shop I visited was little Grocery shop, the limited stock was available.

In store branding
There in Imtiaz I also observed the in store branding, the discounts were available on the
purchase of 6 olpers’ of each 1.5 litter, there was discount of 80 rupees. This discounted
promotion can be seen in the picture. All other items were also available at discounted prices
less than retail price.
There was no in store branding available at grocery store. All the available sizes were to be
sold on retail prices.
