Introductory Speech

Tonight, I have the honor of introducing my idol. A woman who has changed my life in

many ways. I have the privilege of introducing the Woman of the Year, Beyoncé.

Beyoncé has been an inspiration to every woman since the day she stepped foot into the

industry. Her passion for her craft, her perfection in every aspect of her performance, and her

activism for the Black community is simply what makes her who she is. A strong woman of

color who isn’t afraid to speak her mind.

With her many accomplishments including her astounding music career, her impressive

acting career, her beautiful athleisure line, and her breathtaking films like Black is King and

Lemonade, there isn’t much she can’t do.

Queen B is a name that she earned from her fans, and she lives up to it in every way

possible. And although, she says that her accomplishments are a product of her struggle and her

hard work, I just think she has superpowers. I mean, how else can you explain the entirety of the

Lemonade album? No one can make that album without superpowers. All jokes aside, this

woman is everything a Woman of the Year stands for.

She is an incredible singer, actor, activist, filmmaker, designer, mother, wife and much

more. I mean it genuinely feels surreal to be in her presence. I almost fainted backstage just by

passing her. Everyone, please join me in giving a warm welcome to the Woman of the Year, the

incredible Beyoncè.
