This document describes two experiments using converging lenses and spherical mirrors. In Experiment 1, various object distances (d0), image distances (di), and image heights (hi) were measured and used to calculate the focal length (f) of the converging lens. The average focal length was found to be 74.5794 mm with a standard deviation of 1.288858 mm. Experiment 2 similarly measured object distances, image distances, and image heights from a spherical mirror and calculated the mirror's focal length as 49.16599 mm with a standard deviation of 0.478602 mm. Both experiments aimed to determine the focal lengths of the optical elements.
