A - Beyond Expected
This is beyond what is expected of a student in Form 2, exceeding expectations of a Form 2 student.

B - Expected
This is what is expected of a student in Form 2, as most students will be expected to be working at this level.

- Demonstrates sound knowledge and understanding of the media used, with appropriate use of terminology to communicate this
understanding.

- Evidence of understanding of artistic intention and the artistic process and development of ideas, creativity and critical reflection

C - Developing
This is below what is expected of a student in Form 2, however this could be due to various reasons whether it be issues with
commitment and effort into the work and/or could also be due to the lack of effort or commitment given into the work.

- Some understanding of artistic intention and the artistic process, that is, understanding of the work of others, the student’s own work
and the connections between these.

- Some evidence, through the student’s own work, of understanding of the artistic process.

- Technical skills are evident but not necessarily well developed. There is some evidence of development of ideas and some evidence
of creativity and critical reflection.

D - Not Acceptable
The student did not complete the work to a suitable and and appropriate level and is not acceptable. This could be due to lack of
understanding or prior knowledge and/or could also be due to the lack of effort or commitment given into the work.
