Manager Manufacturing

1. Ensure entire safety of all employees working in manufacturing department.

Lifia: “Good morning, Lifia speaking, how may I assist you?”

Selina: “Good morning, Lifia, could you come to my room? There is something I want to discuss with
you.”

Lifia: “Okay, I will go there.”

Selina: “Yes, I will be waiting for you. Bye.”

Lifia: “Coming right away.”

(At the room)

Lifia: “Excuse me, may I come in?”

Selina: “Sure. Have a sit please.”

Lifia: “Ok thank you.”

Selina: “I need to discuss about our company income. Could you tell me about that?”
Lifia: “Yes, Madame. Our income from January to March had a significant progress. However we have to
anticipate the improvement of our product. Our rival companies are starting to improve their product’s
quality.”

Selina: “Well, let me have a discussion with other managers. Please tell them to come here as soon as
possible”

Lifia: “Sure. I will inform them to have a meeting.”

Selina: “Okay. You may go back to your office”

Few minutes later, Lifia as the Manager Administration make an appointment to the CEO about the
meeting with other managers, and the CEO wants them to come to her immediately.

*knocking the door*

Selina: “come on in and sit”

Lifia: “Here are Mega and Nisa as the Manager Distribution and Manager Manufacturing.”

Selina: “Ok, thank you for coming. Here I would like to inform you that we need to improve our product.
Do you have any idea?

Mega: “I think, we need to hiring person who are good at making an interesting advertisement to
engage the customer.”

Nisa: “I am sorry for interrupting, but advertisement is not enough. Besides an interesting
advertisement, we also need more employees to create the best quality of our product improvement”

Selina: “Thank you for the brilliant ideas, Mega and Nisa. So, I think it is Mega’s responsibility to check
the quality of product and give it to the creative team. So they can make an interesting advertisement.
For Nisa, how your future goals are progressing towards my company. you can describe the production
flow in your department.”

Mega and Nisa: “Alright, Madame”

Nisa: “for my progress. The production process is based on the customer-order information that I
receive from the Sales department. First, we order raw materials from our suppliers. Once the materials
arrive at our plant, they are transferred to the production floor where they will go through five different
processes before they become finished goods”

Mega : “How many suppliers do we deal with? Are they all local suppliers? Do any materials come from
overseas?”

Nisa : ” We have a very limited number of suppliers. We deal with approximately ten main suppliers in
the US, and we only have a handful of suppliers overseas.”

Mega: “How do you control the quality of the purchased materials? ”

Nisa : ” One of the reasons for having a limited number of suppliers is to ensure the quality of raw
materials. My Quality Control group works very closely with our suppliers to make sure that they meet
our quality requirements. “
Mega : “Do you maintain a high level of inventory?”

Nisa : “No, we keep a very low level of inventory.”

Selina : “ Okay so, How do you move materials from one department to the next?”

Nisa :” Very easily through the Material Request form. If department B needs materials from
department A, it will fill out a Material Request form and give it to department A.”

Lifia : “may I ask too, Do they understand that they should always give their best and that defective
products raise the cost of production? “

Nisa : ” Yes, they perfectly understand that. As a matter of fact, our defective rate is lower than one
tenth of one percent. We are very proud of our record.”

Selina: “okay nisa thank you for the explanation, for Lifia, as we need some capable people to handle
those issues, could you recruit at least 3 more people to work as an advertisement team, and more
people to work in our manufacturing department?”

Lifia: “Sure. I will make a selection. I will inform you within three days.”

Selina: “Alright. Thank you for coming guys. You may continue your work”
