CHN PBL CASE SCENARIO

CONCEPT: COMMUNITY ORGANIZING

SCENARIO:
A group of BSN 2 students went to Sitio Tapulanga, Brgy. Bato for their community exposure.
Upon assessment, they found out that that the area is very remote without access to healthcare services
and most of the residents there are sugarcane field workers. Upon secondary review of data, there are 60
families. There are families with 7-10 children. Some children aged 2-6 years are undernourished and
would often walk around the community barefooted. The only source of their water supply is the river.
Only few households have access to electricity, good toilet facility and health care services.

Further Information
Last 2019 2 children were infected by dengue virus and 6 also suffered from soil transmitted helminthiasis.
