Subject: GUIDELINES ON PREVENTIVE MEASURES AGAINST COVID-19

Under Presidential Proclamation Nos. 922 and 929, Series of 2020 declaring a State
of Public Health Emergency and Calamity throughout the Philippines due to COVID-
19 and given the extended implementation of the General Community Quarantine
(GCQ), the following construction safety guidelines, supplemental to the existing
safety standards, are hereby established and encouraged you to adopt the necessary
precautionary measures under the Department of Health Circular No. 0039 Series of
2020, and the Department of Labor and Employment Advisory No. 04 Series of 2020.

The following safety guidelines are:

1. All workers must wear the prescribed clothing of the DOLE - OSHC:

1.1 Short with sleeves

1.2 Pants
1.3 Closed-toe boots
1.4 Hard hat
1.5 High visibility vest
1.6 Other necessary Personal Protective Equipment (I.e. face masks, gloves,
goggles, face shields, etc.) shall be prescribed based on specific characteristics of the
project.

2. As per the DOH, all workers are expected to wear proper face masks.

3. Social Distancing should be observed at the construction site and in the office:

3.1 All workers should respect social distancing guidelines, as much as possible.

4. Proper handwashing using anti-bacterial soap (or use alcohol-based hand sanitizer
when unavailable).

5. All workers' status on-site and off-site, are properly noted by the safety officers.

5.3 High temperature
5.4 Other conditions
