    Challenge Assignment 1

    Simulate a Connecting Street

    Video resources that may help with this challenge assignment are:
    • Section 1 lessons: Points, Parcels, and Surveying
    • Section 3 lessons: Alignments and Profiles
    • Section 4 lessons: Corridors and Sections

    Locate an aerial image of an area that you are familiar with that has at least two
    streets that are considered a “dead end.” Aerial images can be screen captures from
    an online map or any other means. Reference in the aerial image and design a
    roadway to simulate a connection between two of the “dead end” streets. Utilize at a
    minimum an alignment, profile, assembly and corridor.
