Entrepreneur

The origin of term ‘entrepreneur’ is French word where the entre means ‘between’ and

prendre means ‘to take’ (Lussier, Corman and Kimball, 2015). The term also refers to a
person who starting a business venture and willing to take risk between customer and sellers. A

person who even doing small business can be call as entrepreneur. Frese, Baron and Baum
(2012), has mentioned that the opportunities for a new services, products or
market to be introduced is being recognised, evaluated and utilized is called as
entrepreneurship. So, when a new opportunity is discovered by an
entrepreneur, he/she will tend to evaluate well and try to use that opportunity.
The entrepreneurs often related to the creativity and innovative factors.
Besides, there are four entrepreneurial characteristics that can be found in the
three entrepreneurs that has been interviewed such as risk taking, money
management, passion, need for achievement and also locus of control and these
characteristics do contribute in entrepreneurial success. The motivation behind
the decision to become an entrepreneur are motivation by other entrepreneurs,
flexibility and desire to form own legacy.
