Comparison of DC Push Pull and Modified Tibc For Solar Water Pumping System in Matlab Simulink
Abstract - Agriculture is the primary sector for many nations and the main part for this is irrigation systems. Solar Water
Pumping is the one type of irrigation system using now a days, for this system proper converters are necessary for boosting
the small voltage of the panels to large value. Boosting of this can be done by various types of converters, in this the two
types of converters are DC Push Pull Converter and Modified Two Inductor Boost Converter (TIBC).Push pull converter is
formed by a split phase transformer while the Modified TIBC is formed by two inductors and switches and here the two
converters are analyzed in MATLAB Simulink and the resultant waveforms are simulated.
I. INTRODUCTION
The solar water pumping system shown in Fig1 is In the figure 2 the battery coupled solar water
formed by a solar panel, a pump controller, motor, pumping system is shown, the working of this system
and storage element for the water. is simple such s the energy from the sun is converted
to electricity by the solar panel and this is stored in

batteries. The energy stored is used for the running of voltage to large value is normal boost converters with
motors and the drawback of this system is for this single inductor and switch. The drawback of this
system large stack of batteries are necessary. converter is it is not capable to use for heavy loads as
it has high input current ripple. The interleaving of
boost converters is another important terminology for
boosting the small voltage of the solar panels.
The input given to the Push pull converter is 10 V switches. There are mainly three parts for this
and got an output voltage of 210.5 V as shown in converter such as a resonant tank, voltage doubler

output to input voltage and here it is 21.05. The formed by a transformer, voltage doubler rectifier is
