Abstract - Agriculture is the primary sector for many nations and the main part for this is irrigation systems. Solar Water
Pumping is the one type of irrigation system using now a days, for this system proper converters are necessary for boosting
the small voltage of the panels to large value. Boosting of this can be done by various types of converters, in this the two
types of converters are DC Push Pull Converter and Modified Two Inductor Boost Converter (TIBC).Push pull converter is
formed by a split phase transformer while the Modified TIBC is formed by two inductors and switches and here the two
converters are analyzed in MATLAB Simulink and the resultant waveforms are simulated.

Keywords - TIBC, Push Pull Converter, solar water pumping

I. INTRODUCTION

Every nation in this world is depending on their

primary sectors mainly in calculating the national
income, thus for a nation like India the primary sector
is agriculture. In India the seventy percent of the
population depends on the various agriculture
schemes. In this agriculture the prime important one
is irrigation system, because depending on this the
entire yield or output depends. Thus proper irrigation
systems are required for good yield, in ancient times
all are depended on manual mode or mechanical
systems. As the technology is developed all are going
behind the automatic systems, the important part for
automatic systems is electrification. The main Fig 1. Solar Water Pumping System

it has high input current ripple. The interleaving of
boost converters is another important terminology for
boosting the small voltage of the solar panels.

IV. CONVERTERS FOR SOLAR WATER

There are many converters available for boosting the

small voltage to large value, here two converters such

as Push Pull converter and Modified Two Inductor

these converter are done in MATLAB and from th this

will occur. For example if the switches are in turnoff

formed. Due to this the switching of the transistors
are very sensitive and due to the use of the split phase
transformer the ratings of the transformers should be

boosting of voltage is done properly but the working
of this should take place according to the magnetic
flux displacement and this is fully depend to the BH

bulkiness of the system is high and the transformer
