1.- Calculate the measure of the circle that we have to draw on the plane, knowing that the scale is 1: 100 and the

real diameter is 1 m.

Solution: 10mm

2.- Calculate the scale of the plan knowing that the real length of a table is 1.5 m and that its representation in the

drawing is 15 cm.

Solution: E 1:10

3.- Calculate the real height of a building knowing that the scale of the plan is 1: 500 and that its

representation in the drawing is 3 cm.

Solution: 15 m

4.- The height of a lamppost is 8 m, if I want to draw it at a scale of 1: 100, how many centimeters will I have to

draw on the plane?

Solution: 8 cm

5.- The total width of a highway is 24 meters. If the plane on which it is drawn is at 1: 200 scale, how many

millimeters will it have in the drawing?

Solution: 120mm

6.- At what scale will the plan of the Institute be drawn, if we know that the main entrance door is 3.40 m wide, and

in the plan we have measured 68 mm with the ruler.

7.- On a plane you can see a river that measures 1 cm wide. If the scale of the plan is 1: 25000, how large is it in

reality?

Solution: 250 m

8.- We want to draw on a enlarge scale the needle of a clock that measures 1 cm. If we choose a 5: 1 scale, how

large will its representation be in the drawing?

Solution: 5 cm

9.- In a road map made at a scale of 1: 50,000, the distance between two cities, measured with a graduated ruler,

is 45 mm. What will the distance be in reality?

Solution: 2.25 Km

10.- A piece that has in reality a length of 100 cm is represented in a drawing by a segment of 4 cm. At what
scale is the plan drawn?
