A TERRIBLE DAY

Yesterday, it was not a typical day for Diana. It was Monday, and on
Mondays, Diana always gets up at 6 o’clock sharp. Nevertheless, Sunday
night, there was a storm, and by 6 o’clock on Monday, the houses in Diana’s
neighborhood did not have any electricity, so her alarm clock did not go off.
Diana did not wake up at six. She woke up at seven!
On her way to work, which usually starts at 8 o’clock, Diana always takes
the city bus. However, she was late, and the bus takes 45 minutes to get to
her office, so she decided to take a taxi a 15-minute ride. A mile from her
office, the taxi had a minor accident. She had to walk the rest of the way!
Diana did not start work at 8 o’clock. She started at 8:30.
At work, Diana usually answers phone calls from important customers. But,
on Monday, Diana had a meeting with her boss, so, she did not answer
phone calls because she spent three hours in a meeting room.
After work, Diana usually goes for a jog in the park. However, Diana forgot
her running clothes at home, because she was late. Therefore, she did not
go for a jog. Instead, she decided to walk home from work - in high heels
and a skirt!
When she got home, Diana was very tired. Usually, she does the chores;
she sweeps and mops the floors and dusts the furniture every Monday. But
today she didn’t do the chores like she normally does. Instead, she took a
shower, watched TV and relaxed. It just was not a typical day!
