 1. Introduction
A webinar was arranged from IDP Education India Pvt. Ltd.
on topic of “Study in Abroad: Covid-19” updates. Main
agenda of the webinar was to give updates of the recent
scenario of study in abroad.
Prof. Ranak Gandhi and Prof. Jaiminkumar Suthar
coordinated and conducted the webinar from LCIT Parivar.

2. Updates
It was the main topic to be discussed, as the name of the webinar was Updates for Covid-19. Mr. Saikat
Bhowmik covered following points in this topic of Update of Covid-19 for Study in Abroad:
 Application Deadline
 University started issuing offering letters
 Scholarships available
 Online courses offered
 Start date changed
 Online IELTS
He explained each points briefly.

3. Countries
The options of the countries were also discussed in this webinar. With the examples of the most wanted 6
countries in the world, some important factors of the particular countries were discussed. The countries which
were covered are Australia, USA, Canada, UK, Ireland and New Zealand. The points discussed for these
countries were as following:

4. Process of Visa
Process for the Visa and admission is very lengthy process. In this webinar, the process summary was
explained. Mr. Bhowmik explained the whole process in 7 simple steps:

1. Selection of Program &

University
2. Take admission test (SAT,
GMAT, GRE, IELTS)
3. Submit Application
4. Receive offer of acceptance
5. Apply for student visa
6. Appear for visa interview
7. Prepare to study abroad

5. Intakes & Preparation required

5.1 Intakes
Intakes and seasons of intakes of above discussed countries were covered in this webinar. As per the webinar
there are generally 3 intakes.

5.1.1 Fall intake:

This intake happens between July and September. It is also known as primary intake, because of
its huge intake number.
5.1.2 Spring Intake:
This happens in January to February

 5.1.3 Summer Intake:
This happens in April, May & November. This intake is for limited courses.

5.2 Preparation
As mentioned before, this is a lengthy process. IDP has suggested that it will take at least 3 to 10 months
before a student gets his/her admission.

6. Finance and Post study work options available

6.1 Finance
The financial points were also covered in this
webinar. Mr. Bhowmik presented approx.
figures of expenses going to be bore by the
students. He mainly covered 2 kind of
expences:
 Minimum tuition fees cost/annually
 Average living cost/annually
This details of expenses were covered for all the
countries previously discussed by well tabular
manner.

6.2 Post study work options
In the table in which the expenses were mentioned, this point also covered. For the 6 countries, the work
permit available in those countries after study was mentioned. Also, the details of part time job working hours
was also covered in this webinar.

7. Mandatory Requirement
There are different sort of exams (such as IELTS,
GMAT, GRE, TOFEL, SAT) to be cleared in terms
of having admission in a specific country. The
requirement details of these exams for specific
countries were covered in this webinar.

8. About IELTS
Among all the exams, IELTS is the only one which
is allowed in terms of having admission of any of
the 6 countries. Hence among all exams, IELTS is
the most important.
In this webinar, Mr. Bhowmik explained a brief
introduction of IELTS Exam. Some points were
covered such as its basic structure, Modules, mode
of exams, number of exams given by candidates
throughout the globe in a year, Roles and services
of IDP in IELTS exam etc.

9.2 Online Counseling Sessions
If any students requires online
counseling, IDP is providing that.
Due to the pandemic of Covid-19,
if a student wish not to meet the

At the end of the last stage of webinar, Q&A Session, IDP Experts ask the students and faculties for
requirement of more details. Those who showed more interested were moved to the private Zoom Meeting
room and others where thanked by IDP and asked to leave the Zoom Meeting.
