FIRST PARAGRAPH:

The calculation of my family's carbon footprint in total was 28.23 tons of CO2 emissions
per year. The component that contributes the least to CO2 emissions is energy use because
it only represents 5% of total emissions. In second place is the food you eat, as it represents
27% of CO2 emissions. Finally, the component that emits the most CO2 and that affects the
emission of the carbon footprint is the use of transport and it occurs because I travel a lot,
that's why we consume a lot of gasoline. If we compare the results of my family with the
Colombian average, our emission is very high because in the country the footprint is 7 tons
and with the world average it is 18 tons, so the carbon footprint emission in my family is
also high. Activist Greta Thunberg says "We are facing the sixth mass extinction and the
rate of extinction is 10,000 times faster than normal", when I hear this I think that we are
being selfish with ourselves and with those who come after us, it is that is why we must
become aware of what we are doing with our environment.

SECOND PARAGRAPH
Based on the calculation of my family's carbon footprint and comparing it with the
country's average and the world average, I am concerned that we are not helping to reduce
C02 emissions because the tons are very high. As the component that emitted the most CO2
was transport and I use a private vehicle, I think I should use more public transport to
reduce my carbon footprint. My mother says that since I am the one who travels the most, I
should take public transportation at least once a week. She is right and I consider that that
would be my contribution.

THIRD PARAGRAPH

After seeing these results it is important for me and my family that we change our habits to
improve our carbon footprint and not pollute too much. For this reason, my family agrees
that it is necessary that we re-evaluate the form and means of transportation that we use and
that this helps to contribute to protecting the environment.
