CIVIC ENGAGEMENT, DIVERSITY & INCLUSION
Level Up & Vote, Board Member - Chicago, IL
June 2018 – Present
Through this coalition organization, all members seek to increase millennial voter turnout in elections and to encourage millennials to
become full participants in the political process within the state of Illinois and within the city of Chicago. We understand that there are
numerous amounts of young Black millennials who may feel as if their votes do not count or that their voice is powerless. Countless
times a vast amount of young Black millennials within the city of Chicago have ignored their voting power and each year the statistics
of Black millennial's economic, financial, health, and education system has showed little to no improvement. As a Board Member of
Level Up & Up, my role is to help create critical policy for Black people within the city of Chicago and to critically engage with Black
millennials to persuade them to become politically mature.

As a student leader, I was invited by the University of Missouri System Board of Curators to an informational session regarding how
students’ can get their voices heard in the boardroom. The objectives of the meeting consisted of:
● How can the Student Representative to the Board of Curators best represent your voice in the
boardroom?
● What would engagement with the Board of Curators and student leaders look like?
● What qualifications would you like to see in the next UM System President?
Maxwell Little, M.Ed. CV
During this informational session I was able to contribute ideas on how students can engage with the Board of Curators; provided the
