Diode Clipping Circuits

Positive peak clipper circuit:


Shunt clipper:
A Clipper circuit in which the diode is connected in parallel to the input signal and that
attenuates the positive portions of the waveform, is termed as Positive parallel Clipper.

the value of input greater than 3 volt the output is clipped and rest is fallows the input

Series Clipper:
A Clipper circuit in which the diode is connected in series to the input signal and that
attenuates the negative portions of the waveform, is termed as Negative Series Clipper.

Inference: By observing the input output graph and transfer characteristics graph it
concluded that for all input value less than -2.5volt, the output is clipped and
approximately rest is fallowed the input
