He received his MSc and PhD in Zoology from Punjabi University, Patiala, and has additional degrees in Biotechnology and Environment and Ecology. His research focuses on the comparative morphology of reproductive systems in Indian moths. He has published 8 research papers, 3 books, and attended numerous conferences and workshops in his field.
