To Whom It May Concern:
Brandon Martinazzi was a student teacher in my self-contained second grade classroom for approximately six weeks. My classroom had twelve students in the classroom and three students learning virtually through live stream instruction. Brandon began by observing for a week. He then transitioned to teaching all of the subjects by gradually adding one subject each week. By the end of his experience, Brandon was responsible for teaching Science, Social Studies, Math, Reading, and Language Arts. Mr. Martinazzi will have had the experience of teaching Math, Science and Social Studies for six weeks. During this time, he has planned and implemented the daily homework, weekly quizzes and unit tests. The units were mostly scripted through our district’s curriculum, but he was able to create meaningful connections through various activities. He was successful in monitoring and adjusting to various schedule changes in order to complete it during his time of teaching. Mr. Martinazzi taught Reading and Language Arts for the last two weeks of his experience in second grade. He followed along with our Reading Curriculum, Wonders, while still pulling in supplemental resources. Brandon used varies methods to collect student data. He used SeeSaw, worksheets, and white bored responses. Brandon was very pleasant to work with. He was always timely, well dressed, and well mannered. He also created meaningful relationships with the students and fellow members of the staff.
