Writing Practice Test 119660

Task 1
Question

You should spend about 20 minutes on this task.

The diagrams below show the design for a wave-energy machine and its location.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make
comparisons where relevant.

You should write at least 150 words.

Answer

The diagrams show the systematic approach to generate electricity using water waves. In
order to generate electricity using this approach, there are two location options available such
as small waves and high waves. The output of the small waves is low as well as its
installation costs. On the other hand, large waves option requires high installation costs but
with high output.

In a typical wave-energy machine, there are two chambers of which water enters through one
of the chambers which is located at the bottom of the machine and creates the airflow which
rotates the turbine that located in another chamber. The air flow generated by one of the
turbine causes vacuum which in turn creates an opportunity for the air to enter from the inlet
located at the top of the machine.

Due to this process, electricity is produced in the electricity generator which is attached to the
turbines as shown in the diagram. The produced electricity can be stored in the battery and
can be reused for various commercial and residential purposes.

Answer

Due to our busy lifestyle, there is a rising trend to buy things online. There are several
advantages of buying online includes more varieties, best prices, convenience and time
saving. There are also some disadvantages such as less emotion towards the product,
dissatisfaction and arduous returning process.

Furthermore, online Marketplace connects various small sellers and big vendors in one place
so that it becomes very easy for a consumer to check and compare different variety of
products from many vendors before deciding to purchase. And at the same time, a consumer
spends less amount of time but explores lot of varieties, the same may not be possible in case
of conventional shopping method. The online shopping also changes the dynamics of the
industry and makes it easy for the people to get the product even from another state/province
they want with the single mouse click. People also enjoys shopping through online as it is
easier for them to shop even while they are travelling from their home to office. It gives
greater flexibility and also reduces the time which we spent on queues during checkout.

Some of the downsides includes, some people feel less emotional to the products which we
purchase from online and also some sort of dissatisfaction while doing so. But, nowadays
online marketplaces are making the returning process so easy in case of if we dislike the
product. Some of the companies are also providing money back guarantees if we return the
product within the deadline which normally varies from 3 days to 30 days.

I usually prefers to do online shopping because of the convenience which they offer. Last
month, I started purchasing groceries from an online trader and got amazed by the time which
they took for the delivery. Hence, I conclude that online shopping is definitely worth than
conventional way in my opinion.
