Chosen participants from UBLC were asked to join the activity together with
Marawoy Women’s Association Inc, and Pantawid Pamilya Clusters. The morning
session focused on educating the participants on how the plastic wastes affected
and is still affecting us globally. To upcycle the single use plastic wastes we
consume, SIFCARE provided a workshop of how to create eco bricks using empty
pet bottles, plastic waste (candy and junk food wrappers), bamboo stick, and
silicon glue. Meanwhile, the afternoon session concentrated on sharing and
demonstrating different plant-based diet recipes as an alternative for livestock
meat without noticing the difference. This is best for those picky-eaters.
