English Communication Skills (UHLB1112) Course is a English course that designed

to reinforce and enhance students’ existing English language skills to enable them to
communicate better in their current surrounding. Through guided and independent learning
activities, students will develop their skills in reading, listening, writing as well as speaking
and provide students with opportunities to enhance their listening and speaking skills and be
able to identity the main points of speech given on frequently encountered matters as well as
articulate our views on matters of interest.
In the beginning if this course, we are require to introduce ourself by tell class about
our x-factor which is our speciality that other people does not have. It is a baby step for us to
gain our confidence to speak in front of people that we meet for the first time. We also get to
know about other people interest and speciality and make us feel closer to each other.
Because of the pandemic virus that engulf the world at this moment, we need to learned by
online class at home thus, the learning quiet different. We had to make a video based on a
predefined topic like review on topic chosen, MCO vlog and more. Student get to hone their
creativity and improve their speech skills through a video.We must complete our course
activities in Headway 5e online to improve reading, listening and speaking skills.
I think these assessments help me sharpen and improve my skill in English learning.
However, beside focusing on following the syllabus only, we need to have a fun learning like
playing a game or performance that require to interact with each other including with
lecturer. This way, more people will interest, open and confidence while learning this course.
