Midterm Reflection Paper

I will bark so loud that I am a proud bulldog. Throughout my whole stay in the university, I
never felt disvalued or unwanted; and the moment I enrolled in NU on my first year, I believe that
this is the campus where I will nourish. National University symbolizes a candle for us students, it
brings light that guides our path to success, it shines so bright that made the existence of darkness
seems to be impossible.
The core values of National University are not just something simply listed, it is my belief
that it is a century of process in embracing all the principles. At this point of time, I am honored to
say that NU imbibed in me the core values of our university. I am always reminded that life is full
of difficulties and challenges that seems to be impossibly resolve. However, we should also keep in
mind that we are Nationalians and our university vested us the power of resiliency, these
problems should be taken as an opportunity to strongly surpass every trials. I can still remember
our discussion about the history of NU, this is the time I was able to understand that the University
120 years, it seems that time flies so fast not knowing that every second
my batch will also become one in the future. It actively illustrates that we,
the Nationalians, embodies the university as a whole and that is the
it’s always been the school where I dreamed to graduate and if I’ll be given the chance to choose
another university, I’ll decline it and will still pursue my degree in NU. At all times, being a
Nationalian reminds me the liberty and reputation I can’t replace with mere title. Nationalian is not
just a title, I believe that it is the epitome of wisdom and integrity. I promise to myself that I will
always uphold the principles imparted to me, be it inside or outside the university and not just
temporarily but throughout my whole journey in life. Like National University, I am also
supported by SM Foundation led by “Tatang” Mr. Henry Sy with educational assistance. I once
also felt helpless, I came from an underprivilege family and I thought that I would not be able to
pursue my study in college. It is true that the one’s who experienced to have nothing are the
one who appreciates the most. With the blessing of education, I promise to myself that I will also
integrate one of NU’s core value which is compassion. At the moment where I am able to give
back, I’ll make sure to help and assist other students in need especially those who has big dreams
