My name is Nikita and I am writing to apply for the position which I saw advertised on the ‘’The Leeds
Time’’ website. I have enclosed a copy of my CV and would be grateful if you would consider my

I am very interested in this area, I have been working in small newspapers and also studied design in
school. I follow and study various sporting events in my town and I would gladly write about it. The
readers would be people who are interested in sports and sports games. The writing style should be
interesting but informative at the same time. The first sentence that comes up must be tempting to
make people want to read it. The main text will contain detailed information about the sporting event,
what happened in it, who took 1st place and last, and the rest of the information. At the end of the
article, I would write my personal opinion.
