idea behind policy making is to represent your ideals through legislature. When taking a
closer look at what a divided government consists of, one will see partisan people who
stick to their parties ideals. This creates significant tension when policy making is
involved because the mainstream train of thought is to deny the other party their
word for a person who does not stick to their party lines that is used in a primarily
derogatory way. The word for a person like this in the political scene is called a rino.
