Sasha- Business
The Founders had good product , vision but they dint have a coherent business plan to role
out the product.
The founders worked alone & wary of bringing in outsiders.
Different backgrounds of members
Lack of leadership
Role clarity & task ambiguity
Henry & Sasha went ahead with their preconceived notion about Sasha.
Dana & Sasha had lot of friction between them
Cross culture difference (Dav pointed out)
Style of thinking-Creative impulses of the Musicians vs the pragmatic approach of the HBS
students(Alex pointed out)
Target of the music product-Team founders wanted to go after entertainment market
whereas henry & Dana were pitching for education market.
Relatively low in cohesiveness in the group
Ineffective communication through long meetings
Leadership & Structure-
He has to maintain proper allocation of roles & responsibilities.
Lead the team so that they focus on the problem at hand
Common plan & purpose
Organise action oriented meetings rather than open ended meetings.
He should need to take stance for his view. Convince the founders properly that education
market will be much suitable to them. Else go ahead with their edutainment plan. This will
lead to faster plan submission without any further delay.
Team cohesion- He should promote high levels of interdependence and high-quality
interpersonal interactions within all team members.
