Subject: Recruitment of Artificial Insemination (AI) Technician for the Veterinary

Clinics

During the last meeting on 13-11-2020, the competent authority had given the go-ahead
orders on the recruitment of Artificial Insemination (AI) Technician for the smooth and
efficient functioning of Veterinary Clinics and extension work in the field (mainly Artificial
Insemination of cattle and buffalo).
It is worthwhile to mention that, interviews for the two posts of Livestock Assistant
advertised in 2016 were held, and two candidates (namely Mr. Naeem Khan & Mr. Qamar
Taj) were approved by the selection committee, however, the selection process was halted by
some unknown reasons. It is suggested, in case there is any provision under rules for the
recruitment of one of these two candidates, then Mr. Naeem Khan is best suited for the job as
he possesses vast experience of Artificial Insemination in buffalo and cattle and is already
working in the Livestock & Dairy Development Department AJK.
In case the rules don’t permit or UPR is at ease to proceed with fresh recruitment process,
then it is proposed, that following selection criteria be adopted as has been the routine in
different Universities and Livestock and Dairy Development Departments in Pakistan.
