III. Problem Presented

Our Kabrigada Team visited tatay Coro, one of our chosen beneficiaries for
our Pabahay Kubo Project. When we arrived, we found him sitting alone outside his
room and we talked to him. We found out his condition is not good.

As we looked at his situation, he is having a hard time because he is alone and no

else is taking care of him. He is a senior citizen who doesn’t have a job and was not able
to get his own family because of his condition that he cannot walk due to his unknown
illness.

Tatay Coro just relies on the help he gets from the
government but sometimes it’s not enough for his daily needs. He also gets help from his
siblings but rarely because they already have their own family to feed also.

We found out that his house is owned by his brother and we noticed that the house
he is staying with was dilapidated and uncomfortable for him.

IV. Family Background

The beneficiary Dioscoro Doncillo, a 65 year old, single, presently resides at

Purok 18, Nursery, Lagao, General Santos City. He is a senior and he lives alone for
almost 42 years. He doesn’t have a job and was not able to get his own family because of
his condition that he cannot walk due to his unknown illness.

Tatay Coro just relies on the help he gets from the government but sometimes it’s
not enough for his daily needs. He also gets help from his siblings but rarely because they
already have their own family to feed also.

V. Assessment

As per assessment, Tatay Coro is not happy because of his difficult situation.
One of the main problems is that he is alone and the house is owned by his brother. The
house was dilapidated and uncomfortable for him also.

The beneficiary shows that he is not have the capacity to provide for his needs
especially the construction of his own home. He is in crisis situation. The beneficiary’s
belong to below poverty threshold and qualified to benefit the support and service.

VI. Recommendation

As per recommendation, the benefeciary needs a new house financial assistance

for her travel expense. The undersigned recommends that the beneficiary is qualified to
avail financial help from the Kabrigada Foundation.
