To Whom It May Concern:

I am pleased to write this letter on behalf of Emma Kate Rhymer, who is applying for leadership distinction
with completion of her 4-year degree. I currently am Emma Kate Rhymer’s supervisor, which has granted
me an exceptional preview of this student’s capabilities. I first met Ms. Rhymer in 2019 when she started
with EmergencyMD as an intern. We were so impressed by her dedication to the patients, medicine and
eagerness to learn that we hired her as a part time employee. Ms. Rhymer has continued to impress us with
her outstanding work ethic over the year. She has continued to progress through the company learning new
positions and guiding new employees.

She has worked with EmergencyMD for the last year as both an MA and a lab technician. During the
school year she worked one weekend per month which was approximately 15 hours per weekend. While on
break she worked more frequently which was approximately 30 hours per week. She has accumulated
486.25 total paid hours through our last pay period which was August 23,2020. I would approximate her
intern hours as roughly 60 hours in total.

As a medical assistant the number one priority is patient care. We care for our patients as if they are our
own family members. Emma was an excellent proponent of this philosophy. Medical assistants are
responsible for triaging patients, obtaining vitals, phlebotomy, setting up procedures, assisting with
procedures, discharging patients and reporting any abnormalities to the provider.

As a medical lab technician, she was responsible for providing information for patient diagnosis and
treatment by performing laboratory tests in toxicology, chemistry, hematology and immunology. The lab
technician is also responsible for various patient care activities including but not limited to triage,
phlebotomy, discharging patients, obtaining vital signs and assisting the clinical team in other aspects of
patient care that is needed. While in the lab, Ms. Rhymer, was also responsible for training new employees.
Other responsibilities of the lab tech included serving as a technical resource, identifying and
communicating abnormal test results, running quality standards on machines daily and verifying accuracy.

Emma Rhymers excellent communication skills only enhance her natural leadership skills. She has been a
shining example of what a true leader is.

Sincerely
